29. Font & Colour Testing

Font

We will use the fonts "True Lies", "PCSeniorReg" and "Arcade" for our video game cover, the "True Lies" font will be used for the title "Evil Clutches". It has a mysterious, medieval vibe which goes well with the text and game. The "Arcade" font will be used for the text on the back because it has a NES game sort of design which is good because ours is similar. The "PCSeniorReg" font will be used on the case somewhere as it is similar to the "Arcade" one. We want to portray a medieval theme which these fonts help achieve this aim. We got the fonts off the internet, using dafont.com

 
 
 

Colour Testing  

The colours Ross and I have chosen are Red, Black and Blue. These colours are quite masculine which will attract male viewers as that takes up 90% of our target audience. The red is used to portray fire and evil, which our game represents with the use of fireballs and demons. The black background and outlining of text will make the text and the knight stand out. The black background is mysterious and helps with the text. The blue will be used to show variety and attract male viewers.

Evil Clutches is a fun throwback to the great games from the 1980s like Contra, Metroid and even Space Invaders. It takes side scrolling shooters to another level and creates a once in a lifetime experience. The beautiful arcade graphics and smooth controls make it an incredibly fun time.
